Job Description

We are supporting a global B2B ingredients organisation with revenues exceeding €2 billion in the appointment of a Vice President of Operational Excellence & Manufacturing Technology.

This role will lead the design and rollout of a global operational transformation programme, driving performance improvements across a network of 50+ manufacturing sites worldwide.

Working closely with executive leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for embedding group-wide operational excellence frameworks, manufacturing technology capability, and continuous improvement programmes to strengthen operational performance, productivity, and scalability across the organisation.

The position plays a critical role in shaping the company’s long-term manufacturing strategy, ensuring global operations are equipped to support continued growth within a complex ingredients and commodities environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the global operational excellence strategy across a network of 50+ manufacturing locations
  • Drive large-scale transformation initiatives focused on productivity, cost optimisation, and operational performance
  • Design and implement group-wide operational excellence frameworks, tools, and methodologies
  • Lead the rollout of manufacturing technology and process improvement programmes across global sites
  • Partner with regional operations leadership to ensure consistent implementation across the manufacturing network
  • Build internal capability across operational excellence, continuous improvement, and technical manufacturing disciplines
  • Identify opportunities to optimise manufacturing processes, improve plant performance, and enhance operational resilience
  • Support long-term manufacturing strategy and network optimisation initiatives

Key Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or operational excellence leadership roles within complex industrial environments
  • Proven experience leading large-scale operational transformation programmes across multi-site global manufacturing networks
  • Strong background in commodities, ingredients, or B2B food production environments
  • Deep expertise in operational excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, continuous improvement)
  • Experience implementing manufacturing technology and process improvement initiatives across multiple sites
  • Strong stakeholder management capability with experience influencing senior leadership and regional operational teams
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and embed operational excellence within large organisations
  • Comfortable operating within complex, global manufacturing environments
